The 2008 Hospitality Design Booth was created to allow Formica Corporation to make the most out of showcasing their product in a 20 ft by 20 ft space. A Formica Banner proclaiming “ALL NEW FOR YOU” wrapped the top of the booth on all four sides, intriguing attendees from across the show floor. A cluster of around 40 pendent lights custom designed by KLI, hung over the center table, twinkling through the fabric mesh banner upon approaching the booth. Four playful, red chairs welcomed those who traveled to show floors to stop for a rest. Their unique appearance created a friendly buzz about the booth at the show. Formica product was intergraded into the design of the low lounge-table as well as the solid surfacing spinners on the tabletop. This allowed attendees to interact with the new product lines on the table as well as with the large-scale sample walls, which were framed in white piping. The clean lines and stripping created by the product itself was repeated in the contrasting stripped Plynyl flooring, creating a unified, fun and friendly booth.
